My Block, My Hood, My City provides underprivileged youth with an awareness of the world and opportunities beyond their neighborhood.  We take students on explorations focused on STEM, Arts & Culture, Citizenry & Volunteerism, Health, Community Development, Culinary Arts, and Entrepreneurism.

Sarah's Circle is a non-profit organization with a mission of serving women who are homeless or in need of a safe space. Located in Chicago's Uptown Community, Sarah's Circle has provided support for thousands of women since 1979.

A Long Walk Home empowers young artists and activists to end violence against all girls and women. We advocate for racial and gender equity in schools, communities, and our country-at-large.

The mission of I Grow Chicago is to grow Englewood from surviving to thriving through community connection, skill building, and opportunity.

Chicago Community Bond Fund

The Chicago Community Bond Fund (CCBF) pays bond for people charged with crimes in Cook County, Illinois. Through a revolving fund, CCBF supports individuals whose communities cannot afford to pay the bonds themselves and who have been impacted by structural violence.

Through targeted advocacy campaigns and strategic litigation we seek to open justice system data from the Chicago justice system to drive innovation, the adoption of best practices through policy change, and implementation of evidence based decision making.

 

STATE LEVEL

Land of Lincoln

Our mission is to provide eligible low-income and senior residents of central and southern Illinois with high quality civil legal services in order to obtain and maintain their basic needs.

Project Compassion

Project Compassion (PC-NFP)’s mission is to enhance the lives of low-income and homeless individuals in the community through education, compassion, and empowerment.

Spreading the spirit of volunteerism through home repair and rehabilitation by helping low-income elderly homeowners in Peoria, Peoria County, East Peoria, and Richwoods Township.

By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.

Our mission is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders.

National Bail Out is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration.
